Chicken, Ranch, and Bacon just go together so nicely! We will plan out several meals and try to incorporate items we have on hand or are left over from markets. Burger Buns are one of those items I like to use with a variety of dishes, so I often plan a few options using them in the same week. We will have Burgers one night and then a few nights later a different dish.

These Chicken Bacon Ranch Buns are one of those bun items on my list. I am able to prep the meat in advance and place it in the freezer until needed. Then just pop the bag in the fridge over night or into some running water to defrost. We always have my Ranch dressing on hand, some bacon in the fridge, and a tomato or two from our friend’s farm stand making this a quick meal to satisfy these hungry boys in my house. We like a good melty cheese on top, but you can customize that to your cheese of choice.

Be sure to toast the buns. That will add an extra layer of flavor and help the buns hold up to all the juice from the ranch and tomato. If I were to change anything about this dish it would be to marinate the chicken in the ranch overnight. It will help the chicken absorb more of the flavor. Other than that, it makes a great week night meal. Enjoy!

Chicken Bacon Ranch Buns
Method
- Slice chicken into bite size pieces and cover with one cup of the ranch dressing, and cornstarch. Allow to rest 10-30 minutes before heating oil in a pan. Place marinated chicken into hot oil. Stir around as it cooks to help the sauce from sticking too much to the bottom. Cook your bacon until crispy and chop up 3-4 pieces into small bits. Add that to the chicken. Toast buns and place a scoop of the chicken onto one half. Place slice of cheese on top and broil just long enough to melt the cheese. Finish with a slice or two of cooked bacon, some tomato, and a drizzle of Ranch. Serve with a salad and Enjoy!
